Person Centred Approaches

With Tameside Hospital

Made By Mortals are using their hidden programme as a training resource to support organisations with person-centred approaches to care.

On this page, you can download all the audio and pdf resources from our project, commissioned by Tameside Hospital. All of these resources have been co-produced by people from our local community, in collaboration with professional musicians, writers and health and social care partners.

Below you will find:
–       3 immersive audio case studies
–       Supporting audio featuring people with lived experience
–       A PDF resource explaining the project with Tameside Hospital
Through the audio case studies, you will immerse yourself into the lives of 3 people, Richard, Yousef and Raven. You will be asked to take a walk in their shoes, understand the challenges they face and consider what you can do to help.

‘Hidden: Richard’s Story’
Richard is in his 70s with lived experience of depression and financial exploitation. The supporting audio explores the barriers the character faces presenting at the hospital.

‘Hidden: Yousef’s Story’
Yousef is in his 40s with lived experience of psychosis. The supporting audio explores the barriers the character faces presenting at the hospital.

‘Hidden: Raven’s Story’
Raven is 21 and non-binary. They have lived experience of anxiety. The supporting audio explores the barriers the character faces presenting at the hospital.

“Utilising such approaches delivers an innovative, creative and novel approach to aid in the design of healthcare research, as well as training programmes in a healthcare setting.”

Stephanie Gillibrand, Research Associate at The University of Manchester
