Call Out for Freelance Musicians
Made By Mortals are looking to expand our portfolio of freelance musicians to collaborate on upcoming projects. We’re particularly interested in people who combine strong musical practice with experience working creatively with others.
Made By Mortals are a not-for-profit arts organisation based in Tameside. We work with diverse groups of people to ‘bring lived experience to life’ through audio stories, film, music, theatre and interactive workshops.
We’re looking for musicians with skills in:
- Workshop facilitation (community, participatory or collaborative settings)
- Music composition (across any genre or style)
- Audio production (recording, editing, sound design, or mixing)
Who this is for:
- Freelance musicians, composers, producers, and sound artists.
- People who enjoy working with diverse groups and adapting their practice to different contexts.
- Those interested in collaborative, creative, or socially engaged work.
What we offer:
- Paid freelance opportunities (starting at £200/day).

We are particularly interested in hearing from musicians, composers, creative practitioners (music and/or drama) and set designers.
