Making a House a Home
In Making a House a Home Adventure, Connie is on an important mission. Family friends of hers are arriving in the UK after leaving a country that is no longer safe for them to live in. Their belongings are already on the way, and they’ll be landing soon – but there’s one big problem. The house isn’t ready yet.
Determined to give the family the warmest welcome possible, Connie sets out to learn how to turn a house into a home before they arrive. She knows she can’t do it alone, so she calls on Uncle Chris and his dramatic community theatre company to help bring some imagination (and a little theatrical flair!) to the task.
Dan: We are experts at making people feel at home.
Chris: We are a community theatre company after all.
Robel: It’s kinda in the title.
Katie: It’s kinda our job.
Before long, the adventure whisks us away to a lively neighbourhood with shops, a school and a bustling community. It’s the perfect place for a new beginning. But when the gang reach the spot where the house should be, they find… an empty plot of land!
Home Sweet Home
Luckily, help is at hand. A brilliant builder arrives ready to turn imagination into reality, and together everyone gets to work building a brand-new house from the ground up. With a little creativity and a lot of teamwork, walls rise, windows appear and a roof soon takes shape. But as the finishing touches go on, Connie begins to wonder if bricks and mortar are enough. What really makes a house feel like home?
